With Reefs to Rockies individual or small group customizable itineraries, you can visit community-owned and operated Kunene conservancies in northern Namibia and explore the contrasting environments of the Namib Desert and Okavango Delta on game drives, mokoro, and walking safaris.

Namibia is located in southwest Africa, bordered by Angola, Botswana, South Africa, and the Atlantic Ocean. Mainly an arid country, Namibia is home to unique plants and animals adapted to their dry environs. Visitors have the chance to spot desert-adapted elephants, giraffe, lions and jackals. Plant enthusiasts are rewarded by the local flora including members of the genus Lithops (“living stones”) and Welwitschia mirabilis, a species only found in the Namib Desert and one of the oldest plants known to man.

Namibia is one of the few countries in the world to specifically address conservation and protection of natural resources in its constitution. Local conservancies, promoting conservation through tourism, allow travelers to delve into local culture and way of life – a truly memorable experience.
