Below are some sample itineraries for Special Trips we’ve offered with partner organizations like Denver Botanic Gardens, Audubon Society of Greater Denver, Birding and Beers, and American Academy.  We can customize the perfect trip for your group or organization.



DAY 1  (Tues, Aug 8): Arrival to Nairobi: 

  • Met upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our safari representative.
  • Nairobi is the capital and the largest city of Kenya, the city was founded by the British in 1899 as a simple rail depot on the railway.
  • Nairobi is a major business hub in East and Central Africa, it’s also regional and national headquarters of various international business and organizations e.g. General Electric, Coca Cola, Cisco, IBM etc
  • Transfer to Ngong Hills Hotel for overnight stay or to Nakuru.

DAY 2 (Wed, Aug 9): Kitale: 

  • After breakfast depart by road to Kitale with picnic lunch. Kitale is an agricultural town in northern rift valley of Kenya situated between Mount Elgon and the Cherangani Hills.
  • You will stop at the Equator where someone will talk about the Coriolis force (a result of the earth’s rotation) take pictures before you proceed on to Kitale town.
  • Arrive at the hotel in the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure
  • Overnight stay at Alakara Hotel (B.L)

DAY 3 (Thurs, Aug 10): Kitale: 

  • Spend the day in Kitale working on a project (farming, school, internet etc)
  • Optional Nyama Choma for lunch or back to the hotel for lunch.
  • Overnight stay at Alakara Hotel (B.L)

DAY 4 (Fri, Aug 11): Kitale: 

  • Spend another day in Kitale working on the same project
  • Again, Optional Nyama Choma for lunch or back to the hotel for lunch.
  • Overnight stay at Alakara Hotel (B.L)

DAY 5 (Sat, Aug 12): Bungoma

  • Breakfast will be served at the hotel thereafter check out.
  • Depart by road to Bungoma with picnic lunch en-route driving through vast maize plantation. It’s a historic town dating back to the construction of Kenya Uganda railway in 1920s.
  • Arrive in time for lunch, Afternoon village festival with Pastor George’s mother and family
  • Overnight stay at Countryside Inn (B.L)

Days 6-7 (Sun, Aug 13 – Mon, Aug 14): Bungoma: 

  • Two days in Bungoma town working at the hospital
  • Overnight stay at Countryside Inn (B.L)

Day 8 (Tues, Aug 15): Lake Nakuru: 

  • After breakfast, depart by road to Congreve Conservancy. Tucked away in the spectacular Great Rift Valley on the private 6400 acre Congreve Conservancy, Mbweha Camp is nestled up against the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park with beautiful views over the Eburru and Mau ranges. Congreve Conservancy is part of the greater conservancy area called Soysambu which has a large part of Elementaita within its borders. Rustic lava-stone cottages with thatched roofs are surrounded by euphorbia candelabra, yellow barked acacia and other indigenous trees.
  • Arrive at the camp for late lunch or optional lunch at Nakuru town
  • Spend the afternoon at leisure before you depart for your evening game viewing in within the conservancy
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Mbweha Camp (B.L.D)

DAY 9 (Wed, Aug 16): Lake Nakuru: 

  • Game viewing in area.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Mbweha Camp (B.L.D)

DAY 10 (Thurs, Aug 17): Masai Mara Game Reserve: 

  • After breakfast, check out depart by road to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, It’s one of the great wonders of the world in terms of animal migrations, As per Abc news “Good Morning America’s show”. It’s also considered as a “must see” by almost all visitor going on safari. It is on the “to do” list for many because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds.
  • Arrive at the camp in time for lunch followed by check in.
  • An option afternoon at leisure, relaxing by the camp sun heated pool or depart for an afternoon game viewing as from 16:00hrs.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Ilkeliani Tented Camp (B.L.D)

DAY 11 (Fri, Aug 18): Masai Mara Game Reserve: 

  • A full day in the magnificent Masai Mara Game Reserve. The reserve is regarded as the most spectacular wildlife viewing area in Kenya with over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds.
  • Morning and afternoon game viewing in the park has been scheduled for you or you can decide to book an Optional balloon ride over the plans of the Masai Mara which takes you over the diverse habitats of the Masai Mara reserve; fly over the great Mara River, swamps, forests, wildlife & the African Savannah. The quiet, relaxing ride allows you to view an amazing assortment of wildlife from a unique bird’s-eye view. Surprise bush champagne breakfast is served on landing,
  • Afternoon game viewing has been scheduled as well on this day.
  • All meals and overnight stay at Ilkeliani Tented Camp (B.L.D)

DAY 12 (Sat, Aug 19): Masai Mara Game Reserve: 

  • Breakfast will be served at the camp followed by another full day or half day game viewing choice is yours in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. If the big cats are what you’re looking for, The Masai Mara also has one of the largest densities of lion in the world and that’s why it’s the home to the famous BBC wildlife channels “Big Cat Diary”.
  • This is the day you will be searching for the pride of lion, coalition of cheetahs, clan of hyenas, leap of leopards or pack of jackals stalking the zebras, antelope, gnus, wildebeest, giraffes, warthogs, gazelles, hartebeests, hippos, elands, buffalo etc
  • All meals are included either picnic lunch or lunch at the camp.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Ilkeliani Tented Camp (B.L.D)

DAY 13 (Sun, Aug 20): Nairobi

  • Breakfast will served at the camp, depart by road to Nairobi with game viewing en-route
  • Lunch will be served at a city restaurant in Nairobi
  • Optional sightseeing, shopping, visit notable places like Freedom Corner in Uhuru Park
  • Also optional visit to Pastor Samuel at the Better Life Community Center read to the children and drop off books supplies to the children.
  • Overnight stay at Ngong Hills Hotel (B.L)

DAY 14 (Mon, Aug 21): Nairobi

  • Breakfast will be served at the hotel
  • Visit to Nairobi Animal Orphanage and Nairobi Safari Walk
  • Lunch will be served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant or similar
  • Overnight stay Ngong Hills Hotel (B.L)

DAY 15 (Tues, Aug 22): Departure

  • Breakfast will be served at the hotel
  • Transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight

Meals: B=Breakfast; L=Lunch; D=Dinner

Price: $8255*/ person (double occupancy); $6070* per child age 12 or younger sharing with an adult.

Single supplement: $1375*/ person – subject to availability.


  • Accommodation in a twin/double/single room/tent at hotels, camps and lodges as per the itinerary
  • All meals as the itinerary; full board while on safari, bed and breakfast for city accommodation (B – Breakfast, L – Lunch, D – Dinner)
  • Transportation, transfers, sightseeing and game viewing as detailed in the itinerary
  • Local, professional English speaking driver guides that are knowledgeable, helpful and highly experienced with extensive training. The services of a tour leader can be requested at an additional fee
  • Game drives in a 4×4 Land Cruiser that are custom built to provide ample leg room, large pop-up roof hatches for game viewing and photographic opportunities and fitted with two spare tires, cooler boxes, equipped toolkits, a comprehensive first aid kits, fire extinguishers, seat belts, canvas seats and VHF radios
  • Guaranteed window seats, maximum of six guests per vehicle
  • Unlimited bottled water, soft drinks in the safari vehicles during all game drives
  • Binoculars and field guide books provided in the safari vehicle
  • Bean bags for use in the vehicle for stabilizing photography
