Sample Itinerary

DAY 1: Nairobi ~ You’ll be met upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by your safari representative.  Overnight at Boma Hotel.

DAY 2: Lewa Conservancy ~ After breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson airport for morning schedule flight to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. This is a private 65,000 acre wildlife conservancy of the Lewa Wilderness Trust. The conservancy is home to about 10 percent of Kenya’s black rhino population, and the single largest population of Grevy’s zebra in the world, the Conservancy also serves as a refuge for endangered species and hosts an immense range of diversity. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch. Afternoon enjoy game viewing in the conservancy.  Overnight at Lewa Safari Camp or similar. (B,L,D)

DAY 3: Lewa Conservancy ~ Breakfast will be served at the camp followed by a full day in this spectacular region considered to be the gateway to Kenya’s wild Northern frontier country.  Enjoy guided game drives searching for rhinos, leopards, buffalos, giraffes and many more. There are also other exciting ways to see the terrain which include; guided walks, horse riding and mountain biking in this region which enjoys some of Kenya’s most prolific wildlife as well as the highest populations of endangered species in the country. Overnight at Lewa Safari Camp or similar. DAY 4:  Mount Kenya Region ~ After breakfast, depart by road to Mount Kenya Safari Club Resort which is set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens and offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure.  Arrive at the club in time for lunch.  Afternoon at leisure or book any of the optional activities which include; horseback ride, playing golf at the equator, visit to the animal orphanage, massage, nature walk, mountain bike ride among other activities.  Overnight stay at Mount Kenya Safari Club or Similar. DAY 5: Ol Pejeta Conservancy ~ After breakfast, depart by road to Ol Pejeta Conservancy for game viewing in the reserve.  It’s the largest black rhino sanctuary in world and the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees (Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary) and holds some of the highest predator densities in Kenya. Return to the club for lunch. Afternoon at leisure or book any of the optional activities. Overnight stay at Mount Kenya Safari Club or Similar. (B,L,D)

DAY 6: Maasai Mara ~ After breakfast, transfer by road to the airstrip for a morning scheduled flight to the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.  Arrive at the camp in time for lunch.  Afternoon at leisure followed by game viewing in the reserve.  Overnight at Karen Blixen Camp or similar. (B,L,D)

DAY 6: Maasai Mara ~ Enjoy this adventurous full day in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. The Reserve is regarded as the most spectacular wildlife viewing area in Africa.  Morning and afternoon game viewing or an optional balloon ride. This time searching for a pride of lion stalking prey or the wildebeest migration depending on the season of travel.  Overnight at Karen Blixen Camp or similar. (B,L,D)

DAY 8: Departure ~ Breakfast will served at the camp, thereafter transferred by road to the airstrip for a morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. Lunch will be served at a city restaurant in Nairobi.  A day room has been reserved for you at the Boma Hotel.  Farewell dinner then transfer to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight. Package includes accommodations; meals as listed; transportation, transfers, sightseeing and game viewing as detailed in the itinerary; in-country flights; local, professional English speaking driver guides that are knowledgeable, helpful and highly experienced with extensive training; game drives in a 4×4 Land Cruiser that is custom built to provide ample leg room, large pop-up roof hatches for game viewing and photographic opportunities; unlimited bottled water in the safari vehicles during all game drives; binoculars and field guide books provided in the safari vehicle; bean bags for use in the vehicle for stabilizing photography;all park and conservation fees; membership to Flying Doctors Society.  Guaranteed departure with a minimum of two guests.
