In November, major travel publications start publishing lists of travel hotspots for the upcoming year. We’re not sure why cities can get the same recognition as a country (Denver got a nod in the New York Times list), but we still look forward to seeing what destinations are sure to be trending in the coming months.
Our portfolio of destinations offers some of the world’s best wildlife and nature experiences. It’s no surprise that the majority of the countries we offer make at least one list every year.
2018 Hot Lists
New York Times (52 Places to Go in 2018)
Notable mentions: Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Iceland, Mexico, Peru, Rwanda, and a shout out to Denver.
National Geographic Traveler (21 Best Places to Visit in 2018)
Notable mentions: Chile, Mexico and Tanzania.
Conde Nast Traveler (18 Best Places to Travel in 2018)
Notable mentions: Antarctica, Azores, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru.
Travel and Leisure (50 Best Places to Travel in 2018)
Notable mentions: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico.
It’s no surprise to us that one country made all of this year’s lists – Mexico – a country that happens to be one of our favorites, no matter the year.
Look for increased coverage on these hotspots in the Featured Destination section of upcoming R2R newsletters. If you’re thinking of a trip, let us know. We’d love to help you create an unforgettable itinerary.
