American Airlines has just announced their plan to expand flights to several destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean later this year. Eight new routes will go into effect in 2015.
Expanded service includes new flights to the following destinations:
• Charlotte (CLT) to Curacao (CUR) – Saturday flights starting on December 19, 2015. Can be booked starting July 20.
• Charlotte (CLT) to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic (POP) – Saturday flights starting on December 19, 2015. Can be booked starting July 20.
• Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Quito, Ecuador (UIO) – Flights five times per week starting on December 18, 2015. Can be booked starting July 26.
• Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ) – Saturday flights starting on December 19, 2015. Can be booked now.
• Los Angeles (LAX) to Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) – Friday and Saturday flights starting on December 18, 2015. Can be booked now.
• Los Angeles (LAX) to Mexico City (MEX) – Twice daily starting on September 3, 2015. Can be booked now.
• Los Angeles (LAX) to Mazatlan, Mexico (MZT) –Saturday and Sunday flights starting on November 7, 2015. Can be booked starting July 26.
• Chicago – O’Hare (ORD) to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ) – Saturday flights starting on December 19, 2015. Can be booked now.
In addition to the 85 destinations throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America, American has served Cuba since 1991 with charter flights from Miami and Tampa to five destinations in Cuba – Camagüey, Cienfuegos, Havana, Holguín and Santa Clara.
