Looking to travel to Brazil soon? The visa application process is going to become a lot easier for US tourists. Starting on January 15th, 2018 visitors looking to head to the largest South American country will have easier access to Brazil visas through an electronic document issuing system. After the request is made, the visa should be issued within 72 hours. Working to promote tourism and increase entries of visitors, Brazil’s Minister of Tourism, Marx Beltrão, has stated “visa facilitation aims to reduce bureaucracy and, above all, leverage the entry of foreign tourists into Brazil”.

Remember that you’ll need to make copies of your travel documents such as your itinerary, flight tickets and immunization records when you apply for the visa. You can apply in person at the Brazilian Embassy in Washington, D.C., Boston, Chicago, Houston, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.
